What power sources does the Nomad Cooking System work with?
Nomad is designed to work with 200W-1000W power sources, including portable power stations, RV power, vehicle inverters, and standard household outlets. If you're building your camp kitchen around battery power, Nomad is made to fit that setup.
What can I cook with Nomad?
Nomad is built for more than boil-only camp cooking. Use the Sizzling-Pan for skillet meals and the Bubbling-Pot for boiling, simmering, soups, pasta, and similar camp staples. The system is designed to help you cook real meals in a compact outdoor setup.
Is Nomad safer than cooking with propane?
Nomad is an electric cooking system, so there is no open flame and no fuel canisters to manage. It also includes dual temperature sensors and a fuse for triple overheat protection, along with auto pause, resume, and auto shutoff functions designed to improve safety and reduce wasted power.
What materials is the Nomad Cooking System made from?
The pot and pan bodies and lids are made from aluminum alloy with non-stick coatings for fast, even heat conduction. The pot and pan bottoms use PA66+30%GF, and the Heating Reactor housing uses ABS+PC. Food-contact materials meet FDA standards and are BPA-free.
What is the non-stick coating made of?
The non-stick coating is a modified PTFE that the site states does not contain PFAS, PFOS, or PFOA. Nomad's smart temperature control is designed to keep the cooking surface within a safe operating range during normal use.
How do I set up the Nomad Cooking System?
After unpacking, connect the Heating Reactor to power, place either the Sizzling-Pan or Bubbling-Pot on the Reactor, and start cooking with a single click. Nomad is designed for fast setup with no extra stove assembly or fuel handling.
How do I clean the Nomad Cooking System?
Hand wash only. Do not use steel wool on the cookware surface, and do not submerge the cookware in water or put it in the dishwasher. Gentle hand cleaning will help protect the non-stick surface and electronics.
Can I use my own cookware with the Nomad Reactor?
It is not recommended. Nomad's pan and pot are designed as part of the system and include built-in temperature control features that work with the Reactor. Using incompatible cookware may damage the product and can create a safety risk.
